Munster Technological University
In January 2021, the Cork Institute of Technology and the Tralee Institute of Technology merged to form Munster Technological University (MTU), a public university. Located in Munster, in the southwest of Ireland, MTU is the newest technological university in Ireland. MTU employs 2,000 people and serves over 18,000 students across its six campuses in the counties of Cork and Kerry.
MTU provides undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate programs in various subjects, including business, science, engineering, humanities, music, art, and education. The courses offered by MTU are made to give students a career-focused education that integrates theory and practice with chances for research, international study abroad, and work placement. A number of national and international organizations, including Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI), Engineers Ireland (EI), Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), and the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), have accredited MTU's programs.

Intakes
Similar to other universities, MTU has its main intake in September. The previous year is when applications for the September intake opened. In Ireland, there is no application fee for MTU, but before applying, you must confirm your eligibility. September intake for MTU offers bachelor's, master's, higher certificate, and higher diploma programs.
Admission Process
Students apply for the shortlisted course and provide the necessary paperwork. Students at Munster Technical University are only able to apply to one course per application. Education records, identity documentation, English language proficiency scorecard, resume, and SOP are needed to apply to MTU.
