Marino Institute of Education

Marino Institute of Education is a teaching, learning, and research community dedicated to promoting educational inclusion and excellence. The college has been involved in education for more than a century, specifically initial teacher education (ITE).

Since 1976, when the first intake of non-professional students enrolled in the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program, the college and Trinity College have been partners. After an agreement was formalized in July 2011, the Congregation of Christian Brothers European Province and Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin, became joint trustees of MIE, further solidifying their relationship.

Over the past ten years, MIE's academic mission and scope have been re-envisioned to include a broader understanding of education both inside and outside the classroom and the education of specialized education practitioners at the early years, primary, and post-primary levels. This is linked to a dedication to education studies that consider non-traditional learning environments and the larger educational landscape within a pluralist framework.

At MIE, they prioritize student learning, and they are dedicated to making sure that students' learning in and with the world is their top priority in response to the ever-changing environment in which we live. The college aims to equip its students with the agency and capacity to learn for themselves, to help others receive transformative education, and to function as capable teachers in a digital world. Their stunning campus provides a welcoming and motivating setting for work and study, as well as for attendees of conferences and training sessions.

Marino Institute of Education Student Life

Campus life

Library services

The students have access to the library's first-rate research and learning space. Additionally, it offers a wide range of off-campus services that students can use while they are not on campus.
