Westport College of Further Education
Westport College of Further Education aims to guarantee that everyone has access to opportunities for lifelong learning while providing a modern and lively study environment. PLC course participants have the opportunity to earn nationally recognized Level 5 or Level 6 awards, which serve as a springboard for additional education or training. Even though a large portion of our students enter the workforce right away, more and more of them pursue further education.
Their student body is composed of a variety of adult ages, each with a wealth of life experiences under their belts. Every student is treated holistically by their highly skilled, devoted, and encouraging staff, who work to ensure that every student has the best chance to realize their full potential. Students and college staff have a wonderful relationship that has grown over the years in this warm and inviting environment. This promotes a constructive method of learning. At Mayo College of Further Education and Training, everyone has a voice. Each year, the students elect a Students' Union, providing the student body with an opportunity to take on leadership roles and discuss current issues affecting them. Throughout the year, they frequently plan social events for students or fund-raising activities.
